New Vicar needed for St Peter’s, Rickerscote (south Stafford, Diocese of Lichfield)

1st Jul 2014

New Vicar needed for St Peter’s, Rickerscote (south Stafford, Diocese of Lichfield)

Bishop Jonathan writes:  "Having recently visited St Peter’s a couple of times, I know not only how welcoming they are, how much they have learnt about mutual help and collaboration during the vacancy, and how earnestly they are praying for a new priest, but I am sure that they have a strong sense of the pastoral priorities that, together with their new priest, they need to address.  The Parish Representatives are looking for a priest — of any age — who is able to communicate easily and attractively with people, a pastor who will be able to help us to project the church more effectively and credibly into the local community.  He will be strongly committed to the Catholic traditions of liturgy, pastoral care and formation of new Christians;  but an initial priority will be enabling the congregation to reach out to young families in the parish, and re-establish new links with the local schools.  This is a half-time post.  I hope that if you find this an attractive possibility, you will seriously consider applying.”
