House for Duty, St Peter's West Bromwich

18th Sep 2019

St Peter’s, West Bromwich

is seeking to appoint a

House for Duty Priest

St Peter's is a parish in the heart of the Black Country, rooted within the catholic tradition that is looking for a priest who will:

  • minister within the parish on Sunday plus 2 other days per week and occasional offices;
  • exercise a sacramental ministry that centres on the Mass
  • reach out to the local community and bring the church to the people and the people to the church;
  • be a pastor, spiritual director, teacher and friend.
Bishop Jonathan writes:

Though small, the congregation is dedicated and very hardworking, and, as you will read, has a clear and practical shared vision for their worship and witness – both for the immediate next steps of their mission plan, and for the further journey.  What they most need—what any clearly Catholic community needs—is a priest who can feed that hope, and lead that journey.

There are high expectations of working together—as clergy and laity—both in partnership with the congregation of St Francis Friar Park, whose strength and encouragement will be a real asset to St Peter’s, and in a closer fellowship with the Ebbsfleet parishes in this part of the Black Country.

Please do not hesitate to be in touch, with me or with Fr Ron, if a conversation would help.  May God bless your thinking and praying.
